Lori Vrieswijk has been a New Wine Discipleship Year Intern since September 2017. She has been a much valued member of the Children’s Work team both on Sundays and the midweek activities. Additionally, she has served in the Atrium, Youth and in the Worship & Tech team.
My experience as an intern
I’ve been a Christian for almost 3 years now and I can tell you one thing; SO much can happen in such a short period of time.
I’ve changed a lot over the past year here at ASWW; God has done some great things in my life.
When I first arrived, in September ‘17 I was very broken.
The main reason for me to move to England and come here as an intern was to step out of my comfort zone. (Believe me, I did!) This year has been very challenging but so good in many ways. God has been in it all the way, He is so good!
My relationship with Jesus has never been so good and so personal, my faith is stronger and deeper and I’m still learning every day how to love Jesus more and more.
ASWW have become my family and I want to thank you all so much for giving me such a safe place and opportunity to grow as a person and to be able to make mistakes.
Again, thank you SO much for opening up your hearts and homes to us. It has been the best year! I will forever be grateful.
Lori plans to stay in the UK, having found herself somewhere local to live. She intends to study for a theology diploma with WTC hopes to be working in different capacities for two local churches (more news to follow!)
