REGINE HAS BEEN AT ALL SAINTS' FOR 2 YEARS. FOR THE FIRST YEAR, SHE WAS A NEW WINE DISCIPLESHIP YEAR STUDENT, AND SHE HAS STAYED ON A SECOND YEAR TO ASSIST HELEN IN THE ATRIUM. SHE HAS ALSO WORKED ON THE CHILDREN'S WORK TEAM AND HAS BEEN HELPING RUN 'FAMILY GROUP', OUR SMALL GROUP FOR ADULTS WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS.
Two years ago I went from windmills, to tea with milk. And I couldn't understand why you do it. Now, I understand and tea with milk is not that bad - joking!
Besides this, I've also learned to understand a lot more about God. In the beginning of my internship I was overwhelmed by the fact God could directly speak to me. I never knew this was possible, growing up in a Church that didn't teach that. I remember running around with prophetic words not knowing how to keep it inside. God has taken me on a journey of getting to know him more and more through a lot of teachings, conferences and the Holy Spirit. I've seen God move through the ministries I've been part of: Alpha, Family group, Sunday school, Atrium, Luncheon club and more. It's honestly been my highlight, to see God move and to love his people (including myself). Finally, I have found family beyond the ones in The Netherlands. He has been so good to his people and I can't thank you enough for helping to make this possible. Now I will for ever be the 'odd Christian' who can't stop talking about Jesus! Lots of love!
As you all hopefully know, the Atrium has a lot more going on than just coffee and cake! It gives us a great chance to connect with the community. We have a lot of different people coming around, with each their own stories. I often sit behind the Reception desk, to be available to anybody who might walk in.
One day, we met a woman with no place or family to go to, and she came to church for help. Helen, Claudia and I talked to her, phoned around, prayed and gave her a bible.
A few weeks later she then returned with the good news that a family wanted to house her! I got to talk with her about Jesus more. We prayed together and asked Jesus to come into her life! Important steps being made...
Please pray God will keep her safe and learning about him.
