ELECTION OF CHURCHWARDENS & ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING
WHAT?
These two consecutive annual meetings are when we elect our Churchwardens, Parochial Church Council & Deanery Synod representatives and report on the activities of the church. The meetings are open to everyone on the Electoral Roll of the church (see here) and those residing in the parish and on the local government register of electors.
WHEN?
Sunday 18 April @ 4pm
WHERE?
Participation in this year's APCM will be a combination of meeting in person (subject to national & local governments' Covid regulations) and by video conferencing (Zoom).
The meeting in person, will take place in the All Saints' Church Hall and seating is limited to 50 places .
HOW TO JOIN MEETING?
To attend the APCM, it will be necessary to reserve a seat to join us in the hall.

HOW DO I STAND FOR ELECTION?
At the meeting, we will be electing:

2 Churchwardens (see sample role description)

2 PCC Members designated as Deputy Churchwardens

9 PCC Members (see role description)
-
6 Deanery Synod Representatives (see role descriptions)
To stand for office, you must be :
-
16 years+ (21 years+ for Churchwardens)

on the Electoral Roll of this parish
-
actual communicants of the church
-
not disqualified for other reasons - see nomination forms below

proposed and seconded by members of the church (who must also be on the Electoral Roll)
Completed nomination forms can be submitted electronically by email to or by post to All Saints' Parish Office, Inmans Row, Woodford Green, IG8 0NH
If it is not possible for a nomination form to be completed and signed by all 3 parties (nominee, proposer and seconder), then a nominee should complete and submit a nomination form and the proposer & seconder should each send an email to indicating their support by copy/paste & editing the relevant statement from below.
For PCC, Deanery Synod or Deputy Churchwarden
“I (insert your name) of (insert your address) propose / second (insert PCC candidate's name) as a candidate for election to the Parochial Church Council / Deanery Synod / Deputy Churchwarden at the annual church meeting of All Saints’ Woodford Wells with St Andrew’s on 18 April 2021.
I confirm that I am on the electoral roll of the parish.”
For Churchwarden
“I (insert your name) of (insert your address) propose / second (insert Churchwarden's candidates name) as a candidate for election to the office of Churchwarden at the annual church meeting of All Saints’ Woodford Wells with St Andrew’s on 18 April 2021. I confirm that I am on the electoral roll of this parish or a member of the local government register of electors by virtue of residence in the parish.”
Early submission of nominations is encouraged - preferably by Thursday 15 April 2021
(Note - completed nominations may be submitted later than this date but must be a hard copy and delivered in person).
In the event of a contested election, a postal/electronic vote will take place in the week following the meeting.
